Developing the New Wisdom Retreat and Teaching Center in Northern California
Hello Friends and Co-Workers,
For the last few years we have been in the process of building and developing a large 200 acre parcel in the mountains of Northern California. It is destined for a non-profit Wisdom Community Retreat and Teaching Center. Located in a peaceful, secluded area with extensive forest and numerous meadows it overlooks wide views of the Sierras. We are preparing to break ground for the first structures in 2012.
It is our hope that this center will serve the global village and be open to all Teachers and practioner’s of the Ageless Wisdom who assist in anchoring and precipitating the New Age teachings. Founded as a New Thoughtform Presentation it will assist and balance the collective human consciousness as the newest Aquarian energies make their impact.
It is our intent to have a live-in core staff of teachers and co-workers from the many various fields and areas of human endeavor. Yet just as important visiting teachers from around the world will come and also participate with seminars, retreats and workshops. It is our hope this center will serve as an international base for many to come together and share their wisdom, genius and expertise. As of this writing we have a core group working on its mission statement which would extend inclusivity to all sincere seekers on the Path.
At the core of our mission is a desire to serve the world by using newer creative group meditation as a powerful transformative force for good in the world. Based upon a guiding core of spiritual principles our aim is to assist and support individuals to take initiation, lead more soul centered lives and also to prepare human consciousness for the establishment of a more expansive world culture.

Developmental Logistics:
This Center’s location in the northern mountains of California has a sacred feel to it with abundant and prolific light, water and natural forces. Though it typically receives much snow in winter the warm California sun shines strongly throughout the year and summers are especially warm. It is surrounded on 3 sides by the uninhabited and beautiful Tahoe National Forest.

Over the past two years many sections of the land have been opened, cleared and preliminary preparation for numerous natural building locations has begun.
Road spurs travel to many different locations.
There is an existing 60 gallon per minute well, and the installed a 5000 gallon water tank set high on the property, supplies water to various locations. The 2″ pipe is buried deep to endure the sometime snowy terrain.
Wild grasses have been sown in new acres to create grassland meadows.
Preliminary sketches for some structures are currently with an architect.

Large areas are set aside for wilderness preserve and some indigenous thousand year old natural meadows are to be preserved. Environmental stewardship to be practiced here is one of realizing our interconnection with the natural world around us. A fertile, almost level, 2 acre fruit and vegetable garden spot is open to Full Sun and now being designed to complement a community. This organic garden will host a solar greenhouse and also a botanical contemplative garden creation centered with a Labyrinth.

We will soon launch a capital campaign to obtain funds for Retreat buildings and to initiate a process of getting green with a spiritual approach to sustainability. This will include programs for eco-literacy with the dynamic hands-on element in the gardens and landscaping.
Some of the other architectural images of the Housing Building and Temple have been supplied by Bruce and Shakara Lyon, Michael Valentine Smith, Duane Carpenter and others who have also visited the site and similarly been inspired. All who have come have been both inspired and intrigued by the energy, beauty and the spiritually magnetic qualities.

“A Crucible and Laboratory for Discipleship Training and Initiation”
These times offer us much in preparation of an externalized ashramic group and a committed group of disciples capable of working to this end. The practicality of such a community and its attending school would link with those other schools worldwide and as united front to express and purposely live the new teachings. Such incarnate groups as expressions and anchored points of light would serve to disperse that living fire which sustains and empowers the Hierarchial life into our midst.
In the book ‘The Externalization of the Hierarchy’ by DK/AAB there is a section entitled; Esoteric Schools and Disciplines; pp. 15-17: …I would like first of all to make one point clear. The great hindrance to the work of the majority of the esoteric schools at this time is their sense of separateness and their intolerance of other schools and methods. All schools which recognize the influence of the trans-Himalayan Lodge and whose workers are linked, consciously or unconsciously, with such Masters of the Wisdom as the Master Morya or the Master K.H., form one school and are part of one “discipline.” There is therefore no essential conflict of interests, and on the inner side-if they are in any way functioning effectively-the various schools and presentations are regarded as a unity. There is no basic difference in teaching, even if the terminology used may vary, and the technique of work is fundamentally identical. If the work of the Great Ones is to go forward as desired in these days of stress and of world need, it is imperative that these various groups should begin to recognize their real unity in goal, guidance and technique.they should recognise that all students in analogous schools and working under the same spiritual impulses are members of the one school and are linked together in a basic subjective unity. The time must come when these various (and at present) separative esoteric bodies will have to proclaim their identity, when the leaders and workers and secretaries will meet with each other and learn to know and understand each other. Some day this recognition and understanding will bring them to the point where they will endeavour to supplement each other’s efforts, exchange ideas with each other, and so in truth and in deed constitute one great college of esotericism in the world, with varying classes and grades but all occupied with the work of training aspirants and preparing them for discipleship, or superintending the work of disciples as they prepare themselves to take initiation. Then will cease the present attempts to hinder each other’s work by comparison of methods and of techniques, by criticism and defamation and the insistence on exclusiveness. It is these attitudes and methods which at this time are hindering the entrance of the pure light of truth.

Volunteer Opportunities
We invite you to help or care for the grounds and in the erection/construction/design of buildings our developing Center. Opportunities to assist is just a phone call away. Volunteers assist with general gardening chores and maintenance of garden tools machinery as well as sustainable landscape design vegetable gardening and orchard cultivation with all aspects of repair skills and carpentry electrical plumbing and painting.
We will work towards eventual integration of the local barter system, LENS, where hours worked, or skills and goods supplied, are kept track of, and give and take can occur without monetary requirements.
Calling Back the Devas and bringing the nature spirits back into our gardens and landscapes.
Knowing that perception is fluid and participatory our observations thru wonder can be proactive and bridge the objective and subjective. Acknowledgement of the invisibles is like clapping for Tinkerbell and invites conscious co-creation with the nature spirits. It is envisaged that the garden will celebrate this interchange and bring increased vitality to the landscape.
Part of the gardens 2 acres will be allotted to the growing of botanical herbs and flowers for local alternative medicine practitioners.

The ‘Departure Lounge’- A place for a Conscious Death Transition.
It is envisaged that a ‘departure lounge’ facility will be included as part of the overall community. A small center where no more than three departing ones, and two supporters are housed at any given time, but space enough to have three of these small centers. This facility will offer the opportunity for conscious transition from the present incarnation. We are not suggesting euthanasia, only supported passage during this vital stage for disciples. Therefore opportunity to train as, and serve as, supporters (transition midwives) will be available. We are therefore seeking those with skill and interest in this field. The more conscious transition within the grounds of the community the greater the blessing to the community’s auric magnetic field as a center of light and truth. It is envisioned that these centers will be based on the pyramid-shape. There will be many aspects, including legalities and costs/fees, to work out.

There is a dual process in the manifestation requiring a cooperation between Hierarchy and Humanity.
Humanity works on the higher levels of the manasic plane – their work is to form a stable soul group, connected by fire at the causal level and able to be overlighted by the soul of the School and the soul of the nation. This group is made up of pledged disciples and at its core must contain those working towards the third degree.
Hierarchy works primarily in the higher triadal realms – the group is the ashram on the buddhic plane with fifth degree initiates at the centre. Their job is to hold the alignment with Shamballa and to create within the ashramic field a reservoir or ‘seed of will’ which is an expression of the One Fundamental School. This ‘seed’ has seven aspect or rays of light but is essentially One. It is the ‘light supernal’ the light of Life itself.
The essential light of life itself must pass through an be coloured by a series of fields…
It must form part of the Planetary Purpose and Plan , cyclically unfolded.
There must be an inner group of ashramic workers bridging from buddhic and triadal levels
There must be a group of disciples on the physical plane capable of maintaining a strong causal link.
An esoteric school is built from the top down and not the bottom up. It is not essentially about land, buildings, students and so forth. It is about a field of fire that stretches from Shamballa on the monadic plane into the ashram on the buddhic plane, into a stable group of causal bodies on the higher mental plane. From here this fire radiates drawing to it those other souls who are responsive to the vibration. And are able to receive and transmit this fire. There are then natural consequences in the three worlds and also within the personalities of those who are involved. The fire purifies the mental field, the astral field and eventually flows through the etheric field and sacredises the body through the process of transfiguration. Similarly one can expect the manifestation of the outer aspects of the school – land buildings etc – last and not first in the manifestation process.
To work with this process one first of all must be aligned and inspired from the ashram. Without this there is no ‘upper’ antahkarana and therefore no seed of will within the core of the project. A group of incarnate meditators who are capable of a good degree of telepathic rapport is needed in the outer. At the centre of this group should be a triangle of those working towards the third degree. They should strive in three directions.
This process of manifestation follows the laws of White Magic. The Schools already exist on triadal levels. Their outer expression is what is trying to be achieved, not their creation.
This is an important point to remember. Those working with the Schools must be able to direct the process within the three worlds to the extent that they are able to align with and receive direction from the inner. The Master Morya is the Head of the One Fundamental School in Shamballa and so , by definition is Head of all true esoteric schools, that is, those schools that have at their root, the energy of Shamballa, the Light of Life itself. – Bruce Lyon

Design Ideas and Focus
For our main structure we are redesigning a Post and Beam house located in Colorado. I am attempting to redesign a similar structure into a Log/Post and Beam structure of which my company can supply and possibly construct. As of this writing the designs are well underway and if all goes as planned we will be breaking ground next spring, 2012. (see pictures below)
The Great Room will be able to seat 50-60 for workshops and Gatherings. We already have been given the most comfortable chairs.
We have various pictures of a Community oriented home we want to convert to a mostly Log Post and Beam structure with an open beamed roof system.
This parcel is in the vicinity of Malakoff State Park about 45 minutes from Nevada City, CA, 95959- off Cruzon Grade rd which is a continuation of Tyler Foote Crossing rd which come off Hwy. 49.
